Jajaran LRT Bayan Lepas tak libatkan tanah wakaf....
Tapak asal Masjid Sungai Nibong Besar dan tanah perkuburan Islam di situ tidak akan sama sekali terjejas dengan cadangan jajaran transit aliran ringan (LRT) Bayan Lepas, kata Timbalan Ketua Menteri I Pulau Pinang, Datuk Ahmad Zakiyuddin Abdul Rahman.
Katanya, Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Pulau Pinang telah bermesyuarat dan bersetuju cadangan jajaran LRT tersebut diletakkan bersebelah dan selari dengan jejambat Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah tanpa menjejaskan kawasan tanah wakaf.
“Persetujuan ini mengambil kita jejambat LRT yang dicadangkan tidak memasuki walau sedikit pun tanah wakaf kubur dan juga wakaf Masjid (Jamek) Sungai Nibong Besar, baik yang berada di atas tanah, mahupun ruang udara kedua-duanya,” katanya dalam sidang media di Komtar, Pulau Pinang, hari ini.
Katanya lagi, keputusan itu juga selari dengan fatwa dan garis panduan yang dikeluarkan oleh Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Pulau Pinang.
“(Fatwa) itu antaranya, tidak memasuki tapak dan juga ruang udara kubur dan juga tapak masjid oleh sebarang struktur,” katanya sambil menambah projek pembinaan masjid di tapak berkenaan boleh diteruskan mengikut jadual asal.
Ahmad Zakiyuddin yang juga Exco Hal Ehwal agama Islam, Pembangunan Industri dan Perhubungan Masyarakat berkata, kerajaan negeri sentiasa komited dan menghormati setiap garis panduan dan hukum hakam Islam yang diputuskan Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri sebelum membuat sebarang keputusan berhubung projek berkenaan.
“Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang kesal dengan apa yang berlaku sekarang merujuk semua jenis penyebaran maklumat, kenyataan media dan sebarang bentuk sebaran melalui apa juga saluran media oleh sesiapa pun yang berniat jahat, bersifat fitnah dan tohmahan tidak berasas tanpa merujuk dan mendapatkan maklumat terkini yang sahih dan tepat dari pihak Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang,” ujarnya yang juga – Roketkini.com
The Penang government has denied ignoring the religious sensitivities of a mosque in Bayan Lepas, which is upset with the state's plan to build a Light Rail Track (LRT) system in the area.
The RM8. 4 billion and 30-kilometre line which will stretch from Komtar to Bayan Lepas is part of the RM46 billion Penang Transport Master Plan.
At a press conference in Komtar, Deputy Chief Minister II Ahmad Zakiyuddin Abdul Rahman (photo, above) said he had met with the relevant authorities today to discuss the issue of the Bayan Lepas LRT system near Masjid Jamek Sungai Nibong Besar.
"We are fully committed and respect every Islamic guideline decided by the state fatwa department before deciding on the official plans to build the LRT near the mosque.
"We regret the spread of information, media statements in any form by any quarters with malicious intent, (in this) slanderous and baseless attack, without referring or obtaining verified and accurate information from the state government," he said.
Ahmad Zakiyuddin, who is also deputy president of the Penang Islamic Council, stressed that the LRT would not encroach into the Muslim cemetery, burial and mosque grounds.
He was referring to the reaction of the Sungai Nibong Besar mosque committee which is up in arms over the state government's plan to build the LRT near the mosque in Bayan Lepas.
Mosque committee treasurer Mohd Noor Kamarudin said the LRT builder, SRS Consortium, has agreed to build the rail track behind the mosque.
Mohd Noor was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying that the decision on the track location was jointly agreed by the committee and SRS Consortium after taking into consideration the sensitivities related to the place of worship and the opposition by residents. - mk

Tabung Haji Scandal Revisited....
Our country is never short of scandals. The scandals come in varying sizes and shapes or more appropriately, intensity, depending on the amount of money and the people involved.
If the police’s estimate of the much-touted anti-ICERD rally at Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, December 8, 2018, was the yardstick, then there were only 55,000 gullible Malay followers of UMNO and PAS leaders. However, if you CONSIDER Zahid Hamidi’s claim of 500,000 participants, then there were half a million ignorant Malays who still think UMNO and PAS are their saviours.
There are some four million UMNO Malays and two million PAS Malays who, till today, could neither think straight nor objectively what is wrong and what is right. By virtue that they are also Muslims, by religion, it’s also logical to say six million Malay-Muslims have been conned or taken for a ride, by their leaders – former UMNO President Najib Razak and PAS President Hadi Awang.
One Malay institution after another is being robbed, plundered or scammed by the same Malay leaders who, supposedly, were to protect them. Their ignorance or perhaps, stupidity, was so glaring that even Tun Mahathir’s granddaughter, Melia Serena Mukhriz, took to Instagram to express her disgust and disdain with the anti-ICERD rally goers.
After the mismanagement and plundering at MARA and Felda, the one scandal that should have shocked the Malay-Muslim diaspora, but didn’t for some inexplicable reasons, was none other than the Tabung Haji (pilgrims fund) fiasco. Like 1MDB the Tabung Haji scandal is too complicated to the Malay-Muslims, so much so that many do not have the faintest idea what is going on.
A friend of mine insisted that since Tabung Haji was paying its annual dividends to depositors there was no reason why it should go belly-up. In spite of me unravelling the truth, he dismissed the whole thing as a figment of my imagination. My attempts at explaining the truth failed miserably so after a while I gave up completely.
It was just the tip of the iceberg, the pilgrims’ fund was engaged in a Ponzi scheme perpetrated by the very people entrusted to safeguard it. There are more similar jaw-dropping scandals involving EPF, PNB, LTAT, KWAP and what not.
Tabung Haji was in financial trouble after the new government exposed it gave returns for deposits as high as 8.25 per cent. The figure is simply staggering. No financial institution worth its salt would ever think of doing such a thing unless its motive was to cheat.
Apparently, Tabung Haji’s dividends distribution from 2013 to 2017 ranged from 6.25 per cent up to 8.25 per cent – a period when Najib Razak was finance minister cum prime minister of the country. Imagine, fixed deposit was pro-rated at about 3 per cent. The too-good-to-be-true dividends attracted an annual deposit growth at the rate of 10.6 per cent between 2011 and 2017.
The unbelievable dividend returns from Tabung Haji, supposedly set up to help Muslims fulfil their hajj, were so attractive that one smart depositor invested more than RM190 million in the fund. The fortunate guy would have made a cool RM15.7 million for doing nothing in the year when it yielded 8.35 per cent of dividend. There was no cap to the amount one could deposit. It was a Ponzi scheme by any definition.
This was what was revealed – a high concentration of depositors amounting to 1.3 per cent (117,000 of them) contributed to 50 per cent of the fund’s total deposits. What this means is if the small number of powerful and rich depositors pull out, the scheme would definitely collapse. It would have been like the legendary Pak Man Telo of Taiping in the 1990s whose financial empire came crashing down when he was apprehended for running a Ponzi scheme. Even I lost some money, small though the sum.
Overstated profits, under-stated value of assets, an unbalanced profile of depositors and questionable transactions were all uncovered in the review of the financial position of Tabung Haji. A report prepared by government-appointed accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers to audit the financial position for 2017 has unveiled more juicy stories.
Tabung Haji had incurred some RM10.2 billion in losses of its domestic and international equities as at end 2018. Its liabilities outstripped assets by RM9 billion. The gap between assets and liabilities is RM9 billion. If the RM9 billion hole is not covered, no dividends distribution is possible not just for 2018 but also in the coming years.

Java-immigrant Ahmad Zahid Hamidi misfortunes continue with no end in sight. It’s no wonder why the once powerful deputy prime minister was so eagerly getting back his seized passport to perform his “Umrah” in Saudi, despite the “mini Hajj” is non compulsory. He was so yearning that he fought to the Federal Court, the highest court and the final appellate court in the country.
Unfortunately for Zahid, the Federal Court five-member bench was unanimous in dismissing his appeal to the return of his passport as the court agreed with previous High Court’s judgement that he is facing serious and multiple charges, hence, the likelihood and risk of absconding. Later, Zahid offered his version of a story as to why he must travel to Saudi.
Although Zahid, known for his thuggery and corruption, had been performing Umrah for the past 30 years, his persistence in wanting to perform “Umrah” was due to his “hope and belief” that only the God could save him from going to jail. Days after his failure, Zahid recalled how he received 18 “missed calls” in 2015 while he was in Mecca, Saudi performing Umrah.
Apparently, those calls were from his boss, then-PM Najib Razak, requesting his immediate return so that he could be appointed as the new deputy prime minister. So, Zahid thought the history will repeat itself and his luck could change for the better – if he could do Umrah again. He might miraculously receive missed calls again, informing him that all his 47 criminal charges are dropped.
Already facing record 47 charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), money laundering and corruption involving RM124 million, UMNO president Zahid has been slapped with additional 7 more corruption charges today. In total, he now faces 54 charges. But the party has just begun. The crook was so corrupt that even his boss Najib may not be able to match him.
Newly-appointed Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Latheefa Koya said Zahid Hamidi will face 33 more charges tomorrow, on top of the 7 charges that were filed today. With the 40 new charges, the gangster Zahid will break another record – the first man to face 87 criminal charges. And you can bet your last dollar that it will breach 100 soon.
The new 40 new corruption charges involved a total of RM47 million in relation to overseas visa system (VLN). For the first 7 charges filed today, the former deputy PM is to be prosecuted for receiving a total bribe of S$4.24 million (US$3.13 million; RM12.97 million) to extend the contract of Ultra Kirana, the operator of a one-stop centre in China and VLN (Visa Luar Negara).
The offence allegedly happened at the deputy prime minister’s official residence in Seri Satria, Putrajaya, between March 28, 2017 and March 2, 2018. Zahid faces up to 20 years’ jail if found guilty. The corruption case is so mind-blowing that the MACC chief Latheefa and her deputy took time to attend the proceedings at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.
As early as 2015, Mr. Zahid, who was the Minister of Home Affairs from 2013 to 2018, was condemned for appointing middlemen in foreign countries to “process” visa applications from workers coming to Malaysia. It has resulted in higher costs of recruiting foreign workers and has drawn protests from worker groups in source countries – especially Indonesia, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Initially, foreign workers or their agents could submit their applications directly to the foreign missions and pay RM15 for processing. However, a new ruling imposed by Zahid, which was enforced in November 2014, required applicants of the foreign landing visa (VLN) to submit their forms to a one stop centre (OSC), which will charge RM100 per head, in addition to RM105 charged for “VLN services”.
To add salt into injury, another company was appointed to carry out “immigration security clearance” (ISC) checks. The Home Ministry argued that the new system and service charge would enable a smooth flow in processing visa application. Local industry players, however, had questioned the need for such centres and high costs when foreign missions have been doing the jobs without any hassle in the past. Yes, Zahid had been enriching himself with truckloads of money with the introduction of the 3 other costly layers.
Previously, employers had to pay a levy of RM1,250 and a processing fee of RM200 and RM15 at the time the application is submitted at the foreign mission. With the introduction of three newly created “centres”, the cost has gone up from RM1,465 to RM1,775. At the time, the cost of sending 150,000 Indonesian workers alone would cost a staggering RM457 million.
As it turned out, the jobs of the so-called VLN, OSC and ISC are merely to just receive the applications and forward them to the embassy. Even in the case of visa applications, the company just keys in the particulars of the applicants into a computer and forwards it to the embassy. It was a “clerical” job which required no special skills or technology. It was an ATM machine created to serve the greed of Zahid.
In essence, VLN service has no meaningful value-add component whatsoever, but is merely an unnecessary collecting agent service. The biggest joke is this – ISC is tasked to carry out security screening “AFTER” the entire process of obtaining the visa has been completed, and of course, “AFTER” all the unnecessary fees have been paid. But Zahid had no idea how ridiculous and illogical the process has been.
In truth, the disgraced Zahid should also be charged with treason. That’s because the national security and government’s interest have been compromised or jeopardised after the outsourcing of visa application to a third party like Ultra Kirana. It was revealed last year that the company had failed in its role as a screening and early vetting system for Chinese nationals entering the country.
But the daylight robbery didn’t stop with VLC. In early 2016, newly-crowned deputy prime minister Zahid Hamidi proposed to flood the country with an extra 1.5 million Bangladesh workers, despite the fact that undocumented or illegal foreign workers had already exceeded 1.7 million. Thanks to massive criticism, the crooked Zahid was forced to temporarily freeze his “cash cow” pet project.
However, the temporary freeze came within 24-hour after Mr. Zahid signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bangladesh to import its workers. Acting secretary of Expatriate Ministry in Bangladesh, Begum Shamsunnahar told the Dhaka Tribune – “It is just an eyewash. Bangladesh will send workers to Malaysia as per the deal signed between the two countries.”
For processing some 2 million China nationals alone, Ultra Kirana reportedly have made an estimated RM198 million profit from March 2016 to September 2018. Java-immigrant Ahmad Zahid Hamidi misfortunes continue with no end in sight. It’s no wonder why the once powerful deputy prime minister was so eagerly getting back his seized passport to perform his “Umrah” in Saudi, despite the “mini Hajj” is non compulsory. He was so yearning that he fought to the Federal Court, the highest court and the final appellate court in the country.
Unfortunately for Zahid, the Federal Court five-member bench was unanimous in dismissing his appeal to the return of his passport as the court agreed with previous High Court’s judgement that he is facing serious and multiple charges, hence, the likelihood and risk of absconding. Later, Zahid offered his version of a story as to why he must travel to Saudi.
Although Zahid, known for his thuggery and corruption, had been performing Umrah for the past 30 years, his persistence in wanting to perform “Umrah” was due to his “hope and belief” that only the God could save him from going to jail. Days after his failure, Zahid recalled how he received 18 “missed calls” in 2015 while he was in Mecca, Saudi performing Umrah.
Apparently, those calls were from his boss, then-PM Najib Razak, requesting his immediate return so that he could be appointed as the new deputy prime minister. So, Zahid thought the history will repeat itself and his luck could change for the better – if he could do Umrah again. He might miraculously receive missed calls again, informing him that all his 47 criminal charges are dropped.
Already facing record 47 charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), money laundering and corruption involving RM124 million, UMNO president Zahid has been slapped with additional 7 more corruption charges today. In total, he now faces 54 charges. But the party has just begun. The crook was so corrupt that even his boss Najib may not be able to match him.
The new 40 new corruption charges involved a total of RM47 million in relation to overseas visa system (VLN). For the first 7 charges filed today, the former deputy PM is to be prosecuted for receiving a total bribe of S$4.24 million (US$3.13 million; RM12.97 million) to extend the contract of Ultra Kirana, the operator of a one-stop centre in China and VLN (Visa Luar Negara).
The offence allegedly happened at the deputy prime minister’s official residence in Seri Satria, Putrajaya, between March 28, 2017 and March 2, 2018. Zahid faces up to 20 years’ jail if found guilty. The corruption case is so mind-blowing that the MACC chief Latheefa and her deputy took time to attend the proceedings at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.
As early as 2015, Mr. Zahid, who was the Minister of Home Affairs from 2013 to 2018, was condemned for appointing middlemen in foreign countries to “process” visa applications from workers coming to Malaysia. It has resulted in higher costs of recruiting foreign workers and has drawn protests from worker groups in source countries – especially Indonesia, Bangladesh and Nepal.

UMNO may not exist by 2023 ....
Opposition parties, consisting primarily of UMNO (Malay nationalist party) and PAS (Islamist party), have been linked to an infographic illustrating a list of new Cabinet ministers – if both parties win the next general election, which must be held by 2023. The list includes Foreign Minister Lokman Noor Adam, the man often ridiculed and laughed at for having “IQ of a carrot”.
Known as the “fried rice” minister, Ahmad Maslan, the man who had previously lectured people who couldn’t make ends meet due to GST (goods and services tax) to cook at home to avoid the tax, would become the new Minister of International Trade and Industry. Perhaps he would bring back the GST to prove that the tax regime isn’t that bad after all.
Rahman Dahlan, one of the biggest supporters and cheerleaders of former PM Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor during the peak of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal, would become the Economic Minister. Even joker Bung Moktar would be appointed as the Minister of Rural Development portfolio. Ismail Sabri, a die-hard fan of 1MDB, would be in charge of the police force.
If indeed the new Cabinet line-up of UMNO-PAS was the idea cooked up by the opposition parties to strengthen their alliance, they have done a horrible job. As usual, almost all the important and lucrative ministries would be dominated by UMNO, leaving crumbs for PAS. But the fantasy of an UMNO-PAS government may just remain a dream – UMNO may not exist by 2023.
While UMNO is down, it is not out. And Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad knows better than anyone to leave UMNO alive and kicking, the same dominant party which he once led for 22 years from 1981 to 2003 as the country’s fourth prime minister. Returning as the premier once again after last May election, Mahathir has almost burned the bridge of returning to his former party – UMNO.
Perhaps the biggest hint that UMNO would soon remain a distant memory is the latest call from PPBM Youth Chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman for actions to be taken against UMNO for receiving funds from the 1MDB funds. Coming from Syed Saddiq, the youngest minister from Mahathir’s own party, it speaks volumes about the world’s oldest leader’s next action.
Last Friday, newly crowned MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) Chief Commissioner Latheefa Koya announced that her commission had filed a civil forfeiture suit against 41 entities comprising individuals, companies and political parties – aiming to recover RM270 million, the biggest forfeiture by the anti-graft body in its history so far.
As expected, UMNO was the biggest recipient constituting close to 80% of the total dubious money, with RM212 million going into the accounts of several state liaison committees, divisions and leaders. The civil action was filed under Section 56 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
Like Najib, who was terribly upset when prosecutors slapped a similar civil forfeiture suit last month against him and families in relation to properties and goods such as jewellery, designer handbags, watches and sunglasses valued at RM680 million believed to have been bought using 1MDB funds, UMNO has been equally panicked over the latest civil forfeiture lawsuit.
And UMNO has every reason to be worried and terrified. Civil forfeitures are different from criminal charges as they were initiated only against the property and not against persons. The advantage of using civil forfeiture action is that it will ensure those assets seized are not dissipated – money or property doesn’t get spent, sold or transferred.
That explains why the US-DOJ has filed civil – not criminal – lawsuits initially in 2015 to seize billions in assets allegedly bought with stolen 1MDB funds, including a private jet, luxury real estate, artwork and jewellery. So, in this case, UMNO will have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the RM212 million did not come from 1MDB – an impossible mission.
Unlike criminal prosecutions, the prosecutors do not have to prove anything in civil cases. But here’s the fun part. If UMNO and their divisions and leaders were to return the money, it will prove they had taken money stolen from 1MDB. If they refused to, and plan to challenge the government, they have to prove in court that the money, which UMNO claimed had been spent, was not stolen from 1MDB.
However, because their bank accounts have been frozen since last July, and will continue to be frozen as the investigation of 1MDB scandal is still ongoing, UMNO appears to be at a dead end. The once-rich political party does not have RM212 million to return to the government, even if they wanted to. Hence, they could be declared bankrupt. Any way you look at it, UMNO is toast.
Adding salt to the injury, PPBM Youth Chief Syed Saddiq said a complaint will be launched against UMNO with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) for receiving the RM212 million in 1MDB-linked funds. Clearly, this is an attempt to dissolve or de-register the party. If the civil forfeiture lawsuit fails to kill UMNO, an order from ROS to UMNO to be shut down will definitely kill the party.
What goes around comes around. Interestingly, at the eleventh hour before the 14th general election in May 2018, Mahathir’s party – PPBM (Bersatu) – was temporarily dissolved by ROS, an order believed to be from Najib. As a result of Najib’s dirty politicking last April, PPBM was not allowed to use its name and logo to contest in the May general election.
ROS claimed that PPBM had violated Section 14(5) of the Societies Act 1966 in failing to submit information and documents pertaining to the minutes of branch meetings, divisions and centres. It also claimed that PPBM had failed to submit party financial statements within the stipulated deadline. Now, UMNO, at the receiving end, has committed an even bigger crime – receiving RM212 million of stolen money.
Of course, PM Mahathir has rubbished criticism that his Pakatan Harapan government is out to bankrupt UMNO, let alone any attempts to close down the party using ROS. But UMNO has nobody to blame but itself. Had the corrupt party refused to take the government’s money stolen by Najib, it would be hard for the 93-year-old prime minister to find reasons to terminate UMNO.
Mahathir said he did not mind if UMNO had plans to create a new party, if indeed the ROS decides to dissolve the party – suggesting that the premier was not concerned at all that UMNO could rebuild or its members could flock to PAS Islamist party. Sure, the UMNO branding itself was invaluable. But it requires a leader with a bigger reputation to make the brand spins.
The PM knew only he possesses the formula to revitalise UMNO, the same way he skilfully destroyed the old UMNO (UMNO 1.0) in 1988, before rebuilding “UMNO Baru” (UMNO 2.0). Now that Mahathir’s PPBM is running the country, he will destroy the existing UMNO so that its MPs and members would have no choice but to flock to PPBM, making PPBM the UMNO 3.0 (“UMNO Lagi Baru”).
Yes, Mahathir has everything to gain, but nothing to lose by destroying UMNO. Once ROS declares UMNO must be disbanded, its members and MPs will be forced to decide – to join PPBM, or PAS or a newly created party. Chances are, most of them will join PPBM due to obvious reason. UMNO leaders and members know only 2 things – power and money – something which PPBM has in its possession.
Once dissolved, UMNO will be split further and like a damaged good, it would be worthless. Pro-UMNO cybertroopers, propagandists and bloggers, however, had been arguing that in the eventuality that UMNO is killed, everyone in the party will join PAS in droves. Is that true? Perhaps the answer can be found during the PAS congress about 4 days ago.
Kedah PAS Youth said while a cooperation with age-old nemesis UMNO is acceptable, the Islamist party insisted they must be the leader on top, despite PAS has only 2-million supporters in comparison to UMNO’s 4-million – indicating the Islamist party’s grassroots are not fully comfortable with joining forces with their political foe, even for the sake of religion.
PAS President Hadi Awang, however, said his leadership was not asking or demanding to lead the UMNO-PAS alliance. In fact, he tried to beat around the bush saying despite wanting an Islamic leadership; it may not necessarily be UMNO or PAS which leads. He also admitted that there is still UMNO-phobia in PAS, and vice-versa, there is PAS-phobia in UMNO.
So, if PAS and UMNO could not even decide who will lead in a new government come 2023, despite both parties being led by Malay-Muslim leaders now, is it possible that 4-million UMNO supporters and members would blindly cross over to PAS? If UMNO can accept a full-blown Islamic country like Afghanistan, why aren’t UMNO and PAS merged already?
Be it Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Kelantan, in reality, UMNO-Malay leaders can never accept PAS as their new home, let alone the extreme and conservative ideology of the Islamist party. That explains why Mahathir is perfectly happy if UMNO is dissolved and a new party is to be created. As a master strategist, Mahathir knew a wounded tiger is a dangerous beast.
Even if it’s true that majority of the ethnic Malays plan to vote UMNO back to power by 2023, why should Mahathir does nothing and allows himself to be slaughtered. If the old man can’t have UMNO members and MPs, not to mention its assets which include the PWTC, he will make sure nobody gets the toy. Video tersebut dirakam sendiri oleh ibu pelajar terbabit dan tersebar di media sosial mencetuskan pelbagai reaksi netizen. Ada yang menyokong tindakan guru itu dan ada juga yang sebaliknya.
Dalam video itu juga, si ibu mendakwa kesan dari tindakan guru berkenaan menyebabkan tangan anaknya mengalami kesakitan sehingga tidak dapat mengangkat tangannya.
Namun, tampil salah seorang remaja perempuan yang dipercayai rakan sekelas pelajar terbabit menceritakan serba-sedikit mengenai kejadian tersebut.
"Saya sokong tindakan guru saya itu. Pelajar perempuan ini merupakan pelajar nakal di sekolah saya. Jadi, saya rasa tindakan guru merotannya adalah tidak salah.
"Apabila dia pergi membuat laporan polis, dia kelihatan gembira, langsung tak fikir apa yang dia dah buat. Jadi, macam mana guru nak didik pelajar dengan kasih sayang?
"Ibu dia kata, mungkin dari kesan rotan itu anaknya tidak dapat mengangkat tangan, mungkin tangannya patah. Tetapi dia masih boleh main telefon.

The Party Before He Retires...
Opposition parties, consisting primarily of UMNO (Malay nationalist party) and PAS (Islamist party), have been linked to an infographic illustrating a list of new Cabinet ministers – if both parties win the next general election, which must be held by 2023. The list includes Foreign Minister Lokman Noor Adam, the man often ridiculed and laughed at for having “IQ of a carrot”.
Known as the “fried rice” minister, Ahmad Maslan, the man who had previously lectured people who couldn’t make ends meet due to GST (goods and services tax) to cook at home to avoid the tax, would become the new Minister of International Trade and Industry. Perhaps he would bring back the GST to prove that the tax regime isn’t that bad after all.
Rahman Dahlan, one of the biggest supporters and cheerleaders of former PM Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor during the peak of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal, would become the Economic Minister. Even joker Bung Moktar would be appointed as the Minister of Rural Development portfolio. Ismail Sabri, a die-hard fan of 1MDB, would be in charge of the police force.
If indeed the new Cabinet line-up of UMNO-PAS was the idea cooked up by the opposition parties to strengthen their alliance, they have done a horrible job. As usual, almost all the important and lucrative ministries would be dominated by UMNO, leaving crumbs for PAS. But the fantasy of an UMNO-PAS government may just remain a dream – UMNO may not exist by 2023.
While UMNO is down, it is not out. And Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad knows better than anyone to leave UMNO alive and kicking, the same dominant party which he once led for 22 years from 1981 to 2003 as the country’s fourth prime minister. Returning as the premier once again after last May election, Mahathir has almost burned the bridge of returning to his former party – UMNO.
Perhaps the biggest hint that UMNO would soon remain a distant memory is the latest call from PPBM Youth Chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman for actions to be taken against UMNO for receiving funds from the 1MDB funds. Coming from Syed Saddiq, the youngest minister from Mahathir’s own party, it speaks volumes about the world’s oldest leader’s next action.
MACC Chief Commissioner - Latheefa Koya
Last Friday, newly crowned MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) Chief Commissioner Latheefa Koya announced that her commission had filed a civil forfeiture suit against 41 entities comprising individuals, companies and political parties – aiming to recover RM270 million, the biggest forfeiture by the anti-graft body in its history so far.
As expected, UMNO was the biggest recipient constituting close to 80% of the total dubious money, with RM212 million going into the accounts of several state liaison committees, divisions and leaders. The civil action was filed under Section 56 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
Like Najib, who was terribly upset when prosecutors slapped a similar civil forfeiture suit last month against him and families in relation to properties and goods such as jewellery, designer handbags, watches and sunglasses valued at RM680 million believed to have been bought using 1MDB funds, UMNO has been equally panicked over the latest civil forfeiture lawsuit.
And UMNO has every reason to be worried and terrified. Civil forfeitures are different from criminal charges as they were initiated only against the property and not against persons. The advantage of using civil forfeiture action is that it will ensure those assets seized are not dissipated – money or property doesn’t get spent, sold or transferred.
That explains why the US-DOJ has filed civil – not criminal – lawsuits initially in 2015 to seize billions in assets allegedly bought with stolen 1MDB funds, including a private jet, luxury real estate, artwork and jewellery. So, in this case, UMNO will have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the RM212 million did not come from 1MDB – an impossible mission.
Unlike criminal prosecutions, the prosecutors do not have to prove anything in civil cases. But here’s the fun part. If UMNO and their divisions and leaders were to return the money, it will prove they had taken money stolen from 1MDB. If they refused to, and plan to challenge the government, they have to prove in court that the money, which UMNO claimed had been spent, was not stolen from 1MDB.
However, because their bank accounts have been frozen since last July, and will continue to be frozen as the investigation of 1MDB scandal is still ongoing, UMNO appears to be at a dead end. The once-rich political party does not have RM212 million to return to the government, even if they wanted to. Hence, they could be declared bankrupt. Any way you look at it, UMNO is toast.
UMNO Raising Flag As First Time Opposition
Adding salt to the injury, PPBM Youth Chief Syed Saddiq said a complaint will be launched against UMNO with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) for receiving the RM212 million in 1MDB-linked funds. Clearly, this is an attempt to dissolve or de-register the party. If the civil forfeiture lawsuit fails to kill UMNO, an order from ROS to UMNO to be shut down will definitely kill the party.
What goes around comes around. Interestingly, at the eleventh hour before the 14th general election in May 2018, Mahathir’s party – PPBM (Bersatu) – was temporarily dissolved by ROS, an order believed to be from Najib. As a result of Najib’s dirty politicking last April, PPBM was not allowed to use its name and logo to contest in the May general election.
ROS claimed that PPBM had violated Section 14(5) of the Societies Act 1966 in failing to submit information and documents pertaining to the minutes of branch meetings, divisions and centres. It also claimed that PPBM had failed to submit party financial statements within the stipulated deadline. Now, UMNO, at the receiving end, has committed an even bigger crime – receiving RM212 million of stolen money.
Of course, PM Mahathir has rubbished criticism that his Pakatan Harapan government is out to bankrupt UMNO, let alone any attempts to close down the party using ROS. But UMNO has nobody to blame but itself. Had the corrupt party refused to take the government’s money stolen by Najib, it would be hard for the 93-year-old prime minister to find reasons to terminate UMNO.
Mahathir said he did not mind if UMNO had plans to create a new party, if indeed the ROS decides to dissolve the party – suggesting that the premier was not concerned at all that UMNO could rebuild or its members could flock to PAS Islamist party. Sure, the UMNO branding itself was invaluable. But it requires a leader with a bigger reputation to make the brand spins.
The PM knew only he possesses the formula to revitalise UMNO, the same way he skilfully destroyed the old UMNO (UMNO 1.0) in 1988, before rebuilding “UMNO Baru” (UMNO 2.0). Najib’s Silly Plan Falls Apart ....
First, Najib Razak tried to scam the world that his partner-in-crime Jho Low had scammed him. When that didn’t quite work out, the former prime minister tried to scam the world that Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil (former CEO of SRC International) had scammed him. When that also failed, he blamed the bank for conspiring with Jho Low and Nik Faisal against him.
Najib’s hotshot lawyer, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, has basically accused everything and everyone – Jho Low (full name: Low Taek Jho), Joanna Yu, Nik Faisal Arif Kamil, Jerome Lee Tak Loong, Terrance Geh Choh Heng, Jasmine Loo, Shahrol Azral Ibrahim, Mohamed Azhar Osman Khairuddin, Ismee Ismail, Suboh Mohd Yassin, and See Yoh Peng – as the bad guys.
Attorney Shafee claims – “My client (Najib Razak) does not deal with his account himself. He was misled and is a victim.” The silly plan was to paint the crooked Najib as the good guy who was misled, tricked, scammed, cheated, swindled, conned, lied, deceived, swindled, exploited, duped, hoodwinked, fooled and whatnot by a group of scammers led by Jho Low.
Because fugitive Jho Low cannot be produced in court to be grilled and questioned, Najib’s defence team thought it was a super-duper brilliant idea to feign ignorance, and even stupidity. They had even read out in court excerpts which were cherry-picked from the “Billion Dollar Whale” book, as if those in the court were gullible kids who believe in magic and unicorns.
The defence lawyers of Najib have also argued that Najib – former premier and finance minister – was a victim of “manipulation” and that “rogue bankers” were involved in handling his bank accounts. Yet, AmBank revealed that they had never received any complaints – not even once – from Najib about how his accounts were being managed by the bank.
Uma Devi, AmBank Jalan Raja Chulan branch manager, had testified that ex-PM Najib took no action and made no complaint from 2011 to 2015 despite irregularities in the signatures of signatories he appointed via authorisation letters to the bank. Ms Uma also confirmed that all cheques in Najib’s accounts can only be signed by him, not even Nik Faisal.
Despite insisting that Najib was not a crook, but a victim, in addition to a statement from Dr Shamsul Anwar Sulaiman (former Ihsan Perdana managing director) who claimed his boss (Najib) appeared “shocked and upset” upon learning that someone had transferred money into his private accounts, the defence lawyers could not explain why did Najib happily use the “dirty money” anyway.
Amusingly, for some extraordinary and weird reasons, Dr Shamsul admitted that the so-called “shocked and upset” Najib did not instruct him to lodge a report either with the police or the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) pertaining to the dubious fund transfers – suggesting that the former prime minister knew about the money laundering activities from the beginning.
It has been established in court the money trail from SRC International to subsidiary companies Gandingan Mentari Sdn Bhd and Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd. A total of RM42 million from Ihsan Perdana made its way into two personal accounts of Najib between December 2014 and February 2015 – in three tranches of RM27 million, RM5 million, and RM10 million.
In short, former Prime Minister cum Finance Minister Najib Razak received RM42 million from Ihsan Perdana, which in turn received the money from Gandingan Perdana, which in turned received the fund from SRC International, which in turned got the cash from KWAP Retirement Fund. This means one way or another, the despicable Najib had stolen money from KWAP.
Hotshot lawyer Shafee also could not cook up a more convincing story why Najib Razak closed three bank accounts about a month after he transferred millions of Ringgit to other beneficiaries. It was also unexplainable why Najib, despite him being “upset and shock” over the sudden appearance of RM42 million in his accounts, had abruptly fired (former) Attorney General Abdul Gani Patail in July 2015.
More damaging testimonies were revealed last week when former SRC International director Ismee Ismail exposed how Najib modified the constitution of SRC International Sdn. Bhd. at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to make him the “adviser emeritus” of the company – indirectly gave Mr. Najib control of the company, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Witness Mr. Ismee also told the court that members of SRC International’s board of directors who refused to abide by minutes containing advice from Najib Razak would be sacked or asked to resign. So, it has been established that Najib, not being satisfied with holding the office of the prime minster and finance minister, had also appointed himself as the chairman of 1MDB and adviser emeritus of SRC International.
Yesterday, on the 29th day trial of Najib, who is facing 7 charges of misappropriation of SRC funds totalling RM42 million, Afidah Azwa Abdul Aziz (Finance Ministry’s Strategic Investment Division deputy secretary) told the court why she had to rush the preparation of Cabinet documents to guarantee SRC International’s RM4 billion loan from retirement fund KWAP – “SRC belongs to Najib”.
Afidah, the 40th prosecution witness, said when she asked her former supervisor Maliami Hamad why the Cabinet memorandum needed to be completed immediately, the response was – “It was ‘orders from above’ and this (SRC) is ‘the PM’s company’.” This means Najib, in contrary to his claim of not knowing anything, had actually maintained an iron grip on SRC International Sdn Bhd.
The strongest proof that Najib was not only a crook caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but was also a dangerous man, came from none other than Suboh Md Yassin, a former director of SRC International. Suboh had surrendered to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), and has been placed under a witness protection programme.
The key witness exposed yesterday how he fled to Bangkok, Thailand, in 2015 out of fear over the scandal. Mr Suboh told the court he contacted the MACC to explain about SRC, which was under investigation by the commission. However, before he could do so, he received a phone call from an anonymous who claimed to be from the MACC, and ordered him to leave the country immediately.
Mr. Suboh exposed – “I was fearful of what was happening and because Najib Razak was in power as the prime minister at that time, I did not know what would happen to me or my family. So I made the decision to run away to Bangkok with my wife for a month.” Suboh also revealed that while in Bangkok, a Thai man handed flight tickets for him and his wife to Abu Dhabi, where they stayed for about a week.
He eventually returned to Malaysia, but was immediately told by Nik Faisal (former CEO of SRC International) to leave the country again after Najib lost his power in the May 2018 general election. However, Suboh said, he had decided not to run anymore. It’s quite easy to establish whether the witness really fled to Bangkok and then to Abu Dhabi before returned home.
If Najib is indeed as innocent as a lamb and had been a victim, as what his lawyer Shafee would like the world to believe, why did Nik Faisal order Suboh to run away? Why did Najib empower himself as the “adviser emeritus” of SRC? Why did he not report to authorities despite being upset and shocked over strangers sending RM42 million into his accounts? Why did he even have to fire A.G. Gani Patail?
Based on the testimonies so far from dozens of witnesses, it can be concluded that Najib was absolutely not a victim to a scam. Instead, he was the main decision maker of SRC International who knew every single transaction involving millions of Ringgit. And Mr. Subor knew the PM Najib was a dangerous man based the gruesome murder of Mongolian Altantuya. - FT

Despite insisting that Najib was not a crook, but a victim, in addition to a statement from Dr Shamsul Anwar Sulaiman (former Ihsan Perdana managing director) who claimed his boss (Najib) appeared “shocked and upset” upon learning that someone had transferred money into his private accounts, the defence lawyers could not explain why did Najib happily use the “dirty money” anyway.
Amusingly, for some extraordinary and weird reasons, Dr Shamsul admitted that the so-called “shocked and upset” Najib did not instruct him to lodge a report either with the police or the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) pertaining to the dubious fund transfers – suggesting that the former prime minister knew about the money laundering activities from the beginning.
It has been established in court the money trail from SRC International to subsidiary companies Gandingan Mentari Sdn Bhd and Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd. A total of RM42 million from Ihsan Perdana made its way into two personal accounts of Najib between December 2014 and February 2015 – in three tranches of RM27 million, RM5 million, and RM10 million.
In short, former Prime Minister cum Finance Minister Najib Razak received RM42 million from Ihsan Perdana, which in turn received the money from Gandingan Perdana, which in turned received the fund from SRC International, which in turned got the cash from KWAP Retirement Fund. This means one way or another, the despicable Najib had stolen money from KWAP.
Nik Faisal and Jho Low - 1MDB and SRC Scandal
Hotshot lawyer Shafee also could not cook up a more convincing story why Najib Razak closed three bank accounts about a month after he transferred millions of Ringgit to other beneficiaries. It was also unexplainable why Najib, despite him being “upset and shock” over the sudden appearance of RM42 million in his accounts, had abruptly fired (former) Attorney General Abdul Gani Patail in July 2015.
More damaging testimonies were revealed last week when former SRC International director Ismee Ismail exposed how Najib modified the constitution of SRC International Sdn. Bhd. at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to make him the “adviser emeritus” of the company – indirectly gave Mr. Najib control of the company, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Witness Mr. Ismee also told the court that members of SRC International’s board of directors who refused to abide by minutes containing advice from Najib Razak would be sacked or asked to resign. So, it has been established that Najib, not being satisfied with holding the office of the prime minster and finance minister, had also appointed himself as the chairman of 1MDB and adviser emeritus of SRC International.
Yesterday, on the 29th day trial of Najib, who is facing 7 charges of misappropriation of SRC funds totalling RM42 million, Afidah Azwa Abdul Aziz (Finance Ministry’s Strategic Investment Division deputy secretary) told the court why she had to rush the preparation of Cabinet documents to guarantee SRC International’s RM4 billion loan from retirement fund KWAP – “SRC belongs to Najib”.
Afidah, the 40th prosecution witness, said when she asked her former supervisor Maliami Hamad why the Cabinet memorandum needed to be completed immediately, the response was – “It was ‘orders from above’ and this (SRC) is ‘the PM’s company’.” This means Najib, in contrary to his claim of not knowing anything, had actually maintained an iron grip on SRC International Sdn Bhd.
Ismee Ismail and Suboh Md Yassin
The key witness exposed yesterday how he fled to Bangkok, Thailand, in 2015 out of fear over the scandal. Mr Suboh told the court he contacted the MACC to explain about SRC, which was under investigation by the commission. However, before he could do so, he received a phone call from an anonymous who claimed to be from the MACC, and ordered him to leave the country immediately.
Mr. Suboh exposed – “I was fearful of what was happening and because Najib Razak was in power as the prime minister at that time, I did not know what would happen to me or my family. So I made the decision to run away to Bangkok with my wife for a month.” Suboh also revealed that while in Bangkok, a Thai man handed flight tickets for him and his wife to Abu Dhabi, where they stayed for about a week.
He eventually returned to Malaysia, but was immediately told by Nik Faisal (former CEO of SRC International) to leave the country again after Najib lost his power in the May 2018 general election. However, Suboh said, he had decided not to run anymore. It’s quite easy to establish whether the witness really fled to Bangkok and then to Abu Dhabi before returned home.
If Najib is indeed as innocent as a lamb and had been a victim, as what his lawyer Shafee would like the world to believe, why did Nik Faisal order Suboh to run away? Why did Najib empower himself as the “adviser emeritus” of SRC? Why did he not report to authorities despite being upset and shocked over strangers sending RM42 million into his accounts? Why did he even have to fire A.G. Gani Patail?
Based on the testimonies so far from dozens of witnesses, it can be concluded that Najib was absolutely not a victim to a scam. Instead, he was the main decision maker of SRC International who knew every single transaction involving millions of Ringgit. And Mr. Subor knew the PM Najib was a dangerous man based the gruesome murder of Mongolian Altantuya. - FT

29. Selepas Abu Bakar meninggal anaknya Ibrahim ( nama yang sama dengan datuknya ) diangkat sebagai Sultan sehinggalah ke hari ini.
30. Dari gambaran yang diberi ia jelas menunjukkan Sultan Johor hari ini dan penggantinya Ismail, BUKAN dari keturunan Raja sebenar tetapi mereka adalah hasil 2 kali rampasan kuasa :
i. Rampasan Kuasa pertama - Apabila Temenggong Daeng Abdul Rahman dengan bantuan British menggulingkan Sultan Husain yang melantik beliau sebagai Temenggong.
ii. Rampasan Kuasa kedua - Apabila Temenggong Abdullah digulingkan oleh adik kandungnya sendiri bernama Ibrahim.
31. Terserahlah kepada rakyat Johor khasnya Menteri Besar dan Wakil-Wakil Rakyatnya sama ada mahu meneruskan TRADISI menyembah dan mencium tangan mereka yang kedudukannya menjadi tanda tanya.
32. Undang-undang apa yang boleh digunakan oleh pihak Istana jika sekiranya rakyat membuat keputusan memberhentikan TRADISI tersebut.
33. Bukankah Sultan ini dan anaknya ‘bermati-matian’ meminta rakyat MENOLAK Pakatan Harapan bagi menentukan UMNO/BN terus berkuasa di Johor Pilihanraya Umum yang lepas?
34. Belajarlah menghormati diri sendiri jika mahu umum menghormati kita.
35. Sebaik-baik amalan ialah seperti 'Rasmi Padi, Lagi Berisi Lagi Merendah Diri’, Bukan Seperti Lalang, ‘Terus Menegak Walaupun Kosong' ; yang akhirnya TERPAKSA ditebas juga.
